The Company
In the first place Pandan House is a business that earns money to pay of a lot of activities. In the Netherlands we spend this money to take care of sales and promotion costs and in Bali we pay the costs of staff, buildings, garden, technical issues, education, the energy and telephone.
If we have still money left we pay for social projects like a shipment of medical supply for a hospital, school supply for the children, etc.
Your Stay
The core business of Pandan House is hospitality. Pandan House is the place where you have a very nice residence. Standard values are personal service, a very nice and hygienic place where you can meet the Balinese culture. You will be invited to relax first and the staff will take care of you. Delicious food, a nice massage and nice drinks make your stay very pleasant. In the house are Dutch values for cleaning; the bathroom and toilet are very hygienic and the shower has both hot and cold water. The staff will do everything to make your stay perfect.
During your holiday you can meet the Balinese culture. Your host and guide can walk with you through the rice fields, you can visit a Balinese house and family, you can visit the water palace in Tirtagangga, have some experience with a Hindu ceremony and you can go with the wife of your host to the local market. It is also possible to visit the local stone carving and watch the ladies how to make an offering basket.
Maybe you would like to rent the car of Pandan House with the driver to discover Bali. Visit a temple, volcano lakes, the markets, healthy warm water springs, much is possible. Swimming and snorkelling also belongs to the possibilities, as well as a visit to the historical library in the former capital of Bali, Singaradja. There is so much to see and to do in Bali!
Local economy
We stimulate the local economy and the local involvement. Every year the accommodation needs to be painted or upgraded and the local people get some work and salary. The local massage man can give you a nice massage, you can buy some little souvenirs in Pandan House that the host has bought on the local market or in the local shops. If you are interested in donating some supplies or funds to the social project, please do not hesitate to contact the host of Pandan House. You could think of textile, sewing threads, cd-roms, computer games and money.
