Pandan House

Pandan House
is located in the Banjar "Pandan".

The site for Pandan House is purchased in 2003 and after the formal split of the site and registration has taken place, the construction began.

The design of the house (bungalow) is as much as possible based on the Balinese style, but with the "luxury" of the West.

Under the guidance of a Dutchman the construction of this accommodation started in 2005 with the local population. The Dutchman has a lot of construction experience and he also transferred this experience to the local workers. The builders have learned a lot about improving the bathrooms, the creation of electrics and so on. It was difficult to keep the quality of the construction consistently with less control of the Dutchman. But that went very successful, the result has become great.

On the site is also a staff house. Here live the two female hosts and they are supported by a host who lives elsewhere. The house is spacious and comfortable, this is the increased living standard for the staff.

In the garden are several beds, a pond, a children's pool and a swing. There are beautiful plants in the garden, a pleasure to see. In the garden is an open dining room that can be transformed into a place where you can lie on mattresses with pillows.

Before the bungalow and houses could be built, the Hindu priest determined if there could start with the construction and after the bungalow and the houses were ready, these were inaugurated by the same priest. It is a good place to linger.

You arrive at the site by opening the access barrier. You will see the bungalow with veranda.

Walking to the bungalow you will see that there is built another house. This property belongs to the hostess Ni Made Rijek. She has a fine house with two bedrooms, one (open) kitchen, a living room, a laundry room and a bathroom with shower.

Between the three houses is the garden. The first thing that probably strikes your attention is the water tower. The tower provides a continuing hence water, independent of electricity.

There is a children's pool of three meters by two meters. Under the guidance of the (grand) parents the children can swim and play nice with the water, an outdoor shower is available. By the pool seats are available so you can relax in the shade and enjoy the sun. A baby swing makes it complete.

Then there is a covered place where you can sit down and can look around the whole area.

If you imagine, this place was a place for a number of grazing cows. What you see now is a huge effort by the local population to make it a nice place to stay. By working together (building, personnel, services such as hiking/volunteering/social projects) a unique project is created where you as a guest can stay and will have unforgettable memories.
